Local Attractions Water Sports Golf Visitor Centres Climbing Walking History Wildlife Hillwalking and Munro Bagging The Munros are the highest mountains in Scotland, 284 mountain tops named after the man who first catalogued them, Sir Hugh Munro. John Rooke Corbett was a keen member of the Scottish Mountaineering Club in the mid 20th Century. ‘The Corbetts' is a collective name given to all the distinct mountains in Scotland which are between 2,500 feet and 3,000 feet, and which have a re-ascent of 500 feet on all sides. Glen Ogle ('Britain's Khyber Pass') Glenogle is the route between Lochearnhead and Killin, contains a spectacular section of the former Callander and Oban railway line, which closed to Crianlarich in 1965 due to a rockfall in Glenogle.
